Marble Creek Farms
We obsess over our animals and the product that we provide to our clients. We take deliberate, carefully-calculated steps from the time an animal arrives on our property until it reaches your plate. We take our job of feeding Americans very serious, and we enjoy it every step of the way.
Our promise to you is this:
- Every animal is treated with the same level of respect that we would expect from one another. They life in paradise (seriously, come out to the farm sometime), and we pride ourselves on giving them a wonderful, stress-free lifestyle.
- We raise our animals on premium grasses that are high in vitamins, minerals, and proteins. We grass-finish most of our beef, however we do offer grain-finishing options to clients who prefer it. Cattle, nature, and grasses have a symbiotic relationship and we do everything to encourage that, not disrupt it.
- We breed for the best. We pride ourselves on calm, very docile animals (low stress), with great reproductive traits (great overall health). We raise animals with excellent mothering abilities, low birth-weights, excellent gaining potential, and high marbling genetic potential.
- We do not add any hormones, implants, or antibiotics to our animals. We raise them like how they evolved for centuries before us - roaming the plains, grazing on a variety of grasses, with all of their friends.
Our Cattle
It's no secret that Angus cattle produce some of the best tasting, and highest quality of beef in the world. What may be a secret though, is what the Gelbvieh breed brings to the high-end cattle market, and how they can be the perfect compliment to an Angus cattle herd. Gelbvieh cattle are maternal Queens and have some incredible maternal traits.
At Marble Creek Farms, we specialize in the Angus/Gelbvieh breed and the F1 Balancer cross progeny. Whether it's beef for your family, starting your own cattle farm, or accelerating the genetic make-up of your herd, we have you covered.
Our Pigs
We focus on heritage breed pigs from different parts of the world. The Berkshire and Gloucestershire Old Spot are both from England, and the Mangalitsa are from Hungary. Just like with our cattle, we focus on raising pasture and forest raised, high maternal trait, and chemical-free animals.
All three breeds are known for their high levels of marbling, with the Mangalitsa breed known as the "Kobe beef" of pork with that "melt-in-your-mouth" taste. When used in combination with one another, you'll never go back to grocery store pork.
